BIG NEWS for CCP!

So here it is….the “BIG NEWS” that you have been on pins and needles waiting for…

I am moving my studio space!!

Again!  I know. It is a story too long and personal to share, but basically I am excited to be renting my first studio space outside of my house!  Just think….no props in the house!!

(If you want to skip the details and just see how this affects my Christmas Minis CLICK HERE for that blog.)

When it was clear I would need a studio space, I set out to network and meet other photographers.  It was my hope of finding someone who would already have a space that I could do a “studio share” (which is a common thing in the photography world).  It has truly been so incredible to see and meet the fellow photographers in the area!

Due to my need to increase my business hours I was in a unique situation.  I was coming in needing to rent several days a week and also, have you all seen the amount of props I have??  Just picture all those cake smash sessions and the props that are stored somewhere out of sight!!  (Now this part I am quite ecstatic about….no more props being stored in my home!!)

I will skip all the crazy fun details on how this came about, but the end result is that I am going to rent space from an amazing photographer.  He just had the opportunity to take on more space when we met, so he is excited to create with me a newborn/cake smash/family studio.  It will have a welcome/waiting area, two very large studio rooms, and also a large “lifestyle” studio space!!  I am so very excited!  It is a much larger space than I have ever had, so the dreaming has begun and can barely keep me up with all the ideas.

The bad news for my Bartlett families is that it is a little further.  It is in Winfield at 27W140 Roosevelt Rd, Studio 2.  I am hoping it would be worth the drive!!

I will need your patience and gracious perspective that I want to keep shooting quite seamlessly with my schedule, but in order to do that I will have to “make do” with how the space is currently.  There will be a season of transition….so I would love patience!  Then we will have a grand opening of sorts in the spring!  I will always have what I need to create the images you are all used to….but the background of the space may not have the “feel” yet of what I hope to provide.  I will be diligently moving in that direction!

So there it is, my big news.  For the first time in forever (cue the music for those Frozen 1 fans!!) I am moving into a studio that is not in my home!! It feels like I am launching into something big and exciting, like I am moving out of my house for the first time….so all kinds of feels!!  I am definitely counting on all of you amazing clients to continue to spread the word and hope to create this space to be a welcoming and fun place to come have your memories and stages of these littles captured!!

This definitely affects my Christmas Mini Sessions.
