Let’s get to know each other

I love to walk into a home and look at the pictures.  They tell a story.  They capture emotion.  They provoke emotion.  Photos are among my favorite treasures on this earth!  Life goes by way too fast, so to have these memories are so important.

I recently had a mom say during a newborn session, that it was “worth every penny if only just for the time to sit in your cozy studio and rest.” That meant the world to me. When you come to my studio I want you to relax, enjoy the time, and create a memory while we capture this moment in your life.

I very much feel that my clients become friends as I get to watch your little ones grow. I have so much fun creating smiling, laughing, tender moments that can be treasured forever.

A little about Carrie,

your photographer

I love beauty and art.  I also love drama and emotion.  Photography is my way to capture all of that.  It has been a hobby of mine since I was a child. In 2014, I took a huge leap - if you can picture eyes closed, holding your breath kind of leap - and started this photography business.  I have loved every minute.  I get so excited meeting each family, hearing their stories, and creating memories as we capture this season of life.  I honestly feel so honored to be a small part of it!

In my off time I have the great joy of being a mother to two beautiful little girls!  I am a huge fan of a good cup of coffee...either by myself with a great book, or in the company of friends.

I look forward to meeting you and creating memories you will cherish for a lifetime!

A little about Ashley, your assistant

I have been a photography geek since high school.  Being in the darkroom was one of my favorite things.  Alas, life lead me in a different direction - a bit of psychology here, some entrepreneurship there, a dash of human resources, and a heaping scoop of higher education administration mixed together to create the person I am today.  I'm Type A with a creative heart.

When Carrie asked me to become her assistant, I knew it would be a great partnership.  I get to work in a creative field, doing Type A work.  Plus, who doesn’t love Carrie?  How could I pass that up?!

In my "spare time", I consult for other photographers, raise two rambunctious, lovely boys and one sweet little girl (two with some special needs), corral our retired greyhounds, do the laundry, cook the meals, cart to activities and therapies...aye.  Who am I kidding?  I have no spare time.  But I couldn't be more excited to work with you to ensure you come away from this experience well taken care of and with some amazing photographs!

Here's a few of our favorite things…
